“[Jughead is] the only one that speaks to the audience and break fourth wall,” he shared in an interview with ComicBook.com. “Which gives him the ability to inform the audience that he’s the killer without having to inform any of the cast living in Riverdale.”
Cole has a reason for believing it too — even if the audience doesn’t think so.
“From the very beginning, I have thought Jughead was the killer,” he adds. “That was informed by a bunch of different things, and the narrative still rings true. Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa, executive producer of Riverdale] wrote Afterlife With Archie, in which Jughead was the antagonist. And in this dark version of the universe, as well, Jughead had a shifty, outsider perspective.”
Hmmm…we’ll have to wait and see if it ends up being true. Our money is on no.
WHAT DO YOU THINK – Could Jughead actually be the killer?
