JJJ talked with John D. Beck and Ron Hart about the storyline they definitely wanted to have more episodes for.
“It would’ve been great to have more time with Holden and Liv,” John said. “I think we would’ve loved to play out the Josh/Maddie/Diggie triangle a little bit longer, too.”
He adds, “We had a whole storyline we’d love to play out with Johnny Nimbus (Kurt Long) out in California. There is just so much time you’d have on screen…we would’ve done the show for the next 100 years if they’d let us. We love these characters and the actors.”
What they also wanted? More Parker, because, who doesn’t? Click inside for more…
“For me, the thing that we could’ve done so much more with was Tenzing,” Ron said. “He so hit his stride at the end of the show. He’d been kind of the precocious little brother when it started. At the end, he was the one carrying the episode because we were putting so much on him.”
He added about Tenzing in the final season: “Really, kind of accidentally, we discovered this relationship with Parker and Val (Chloe East), that was not planned at all. But once we got them on screen, they were really cute together…I felt that it grew organically and for me, if there were like six more episodes, we would’ve done more there.”
The Liv & Maddie series finale airs Friday, March 24.
