It’s only now that he’s partnered up with X-Out, that Cam is finally coming clean about photoshopping his own pictures.
“I was a late bloomer in high school, and I never had any acne. People all the time used to touch my face and ask how my skin was so clear. It wasn’t until out of high school when I started getting really bad acne,” he shared in a revealing post on Instagram.
“I used to get made fun of by people that would see me in public and I used to hide from people that would see me and ask for a picture. For me, it sucked because I already had fans at this point, but I felt like I hated myself because I didn’t look like I used to anymore. I didn’t have that smooth skin.”
Cameron adds, “Instead of people asking me why my skin was so clear, people would ask ‘what happened to your face’ and say ‘why don’t you have acne in photos’ which completely destroyed me on the inside and my self confidence. It got to a point where I literally had to use photoshop to edit out the acne myself.”

Cameron Dallas‘s new Netflix show has been airing since January and the social star says that he’s a learned a lot about himself from it.
“The Netflix show has been really successful and really great, and I had a great time doing it,” he shared, before hanging outside in Hollywood recently after dinner out with friends. “I learned a lot about myself from it.”
What exactly did he learn? “I got to see on camera how I react and handle certain situations, and areas I need to improve.”
Cameron also learned that “maybe I cuss too much. I need to hang around my mom [Gina] so she can work me into shape.”
You’d never think someone like Cameron Dallas ever suffered from acne…but he did!
The mega social star, who was just signed as X-Out‘s newest ambassador, opened up about his past and ongoing struggles.
“When I got out of high school, I started breaking out. I tried everything from A to Z as far as seeing doctors and getting prescriptions. I even did home remedies, and I had no luck,” he shared, during an interview with WWD.
Then, some amazing fan changed his life — “A fan gave me Proactiv, and it cleared my skin.”
“But there were too many steps. I lose everything, and I lost one of the products. My acne started to come back. Then, I learned they did X Out. It’s one step, and it worked.”
Cameron added about working with the brand, “I don’t really like to promote anything, but I will promote things I believe in and things that work. I have used Proactiv and I use X Out, and they are the only things that work for me.”
