Val Chmerkovskiy is a brilliant choreographer…but can he take the lesson that Normani Kordei is giving him?
The Fifth Harmony singer decided that since Val is teaching her some amazing steps for their Quickstep on Monday, she was going to teach him the steps to the group’s “Work From Home” performance.
You can see just how well it went in the video below!
Speaking about the competition on the show, Normani says she’s not really competing with anyone.
“It’s more a competition within myself and not with other people,” she shared. “I think, at the end of the day, you have to be happy with who you are and what you present and bring to the table. I know my work ethic is out of this world, so I’m really excited for the journey and just the teamwork and camaraderie between the two of us.”
She added, “At the end of the day, it’s not just about the trophy…although, we hope [we win]…but just the bond that we have and the growth and America feeling like they’re also part of us.”
Are we all ready for the premiere of Dancing With The Stars on Monday?!
The full dance and song list was just unveiled and it’s making JJJ even more excited to see all the celebs on the ballroom floor next week!
The competition begins with the two-hour season premiere — which is actually the shows’ 400th episode!
To kick off the show, celebs will be dancing in an exciting opening number with the show’s judges: Len Goodman, Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
No couples will be eliminated on week 1, and they will all advance to week two of the competition.

Normani Kordei has a major supporter when it comes to Dancing With the Stars.
Zendaya was recently asked about the 20-year-old Fifth Harmony member being teamed up with her former partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
“She’s gonna win,” Z says in a interview, which you can watch below. “But my No. 1 thing is, to her, is to make sure he eats because he’s really grump when he doesn’t eat…and just have fun. It’s so so stressful.”
Normani saw her thoughts and tweeted, “agh she’s perfect in every way I luh you sis @Zendaya thanks for convincing me that Booty&TheBeast wasn’t it lmao @iamValC #Valmani.”

Olympian Simone Biles and her Dancing With the Stars partner Sasha Farber thought long and hard, and they finally found the perfect team name.
We’ll give you a hint: It has everything to do with Simone‘s gymnastics career and her adorable personality.
The dynamic duo made the announcement from the World Champions Centre in Spring, Texas, where Simone trained for the Olympics (that’s another hint, btw).
Simone already has an edge in the competition, being best friends and all with reigning Dancing With the Stars champion Laurie Hernandez, who’s been giving her advice!

“As a judge, I have to remain impartial, but I’m excited to see how some of them, like Nick [Viall] and Mr. T and Bonner [Bolton] do,” she told Brit + Co. “There are always some surprises those first couple of shows when you see how people perform under pressure.”

Simone Biles and Sasha Farber are just about the cutest team on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars…and they’re going to be so much fun to watch!
Since Simone is BFFs with the reigning champion Laurie Hernandez, she got some pretty great advice when it comes to what she’s in for.
“[She] said to take care of the blisters and if your feet hurt to tell Sasha, because if you don’t take your shoes off, they will hurt the next day,” Simone shared in a new interview — but she didn’t tell him! Eek!
“I didn’t tell Sasha, and my feet are burning today,” she admitted.
Another piece of advice Laurie gave to Simone was to “have fun with it and to let my personality shine and that she’ll always be a text away.”
Dancing With the Stars premieres on Monday, March 20th on ABC.
There could not have been a more perfect partnership for Dancing With the Stars than Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy.
The team — who changed their name from Valmani to Booty and the Beast — shared off a little vid of their debut dance on the competition series.
“The process w @normanikordei #dwts,” Val captioned the video after dancing along with Normani – and they look so amazing!
Val and Normani, pictured below leaving the dance studio today in LA, will make their ballroom debut on Monday, March 20th on ABC.
It looks like Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy have pulled rank and changed their official team name for Dancing With the Stars.
Instead of Valmani, like the fans have been calling them since the official casting announcement — Normani and Val will now be known as “Booty and the Beast”.
Val and Normani shared the name change with their fans in an Instagram video.
“Tom [Bergeron, host] is going to have to say Booty and the Beast on the show, for hopefully, three months,” Val reasoned in the vid.
