Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy made out the call to fans for team name ideas for Dancing With the Stars right after the official casting announcement and they’ve pretty much made up their minds.
However, it doesn’t seem Val is a huge fan of the name the fans came up with.
During an Instagram Live video, the pro dancer thought Normani‘s name should be first instead of his.
“TeAm name ??” Val captioned on Instagram with a pic of the two.
“Val doesn’t know that when Harmonizers decide things, we decide things…it’s Valmani,” one fan tweeted after hearing about it all.

We’re all still a little bummed that Allison Holker won’t be returning for Dancing With The Stars this season, but that doesn’t mean she won’t be watching.
The seasoned DWTS pro, who is sitting this season out to focus on other projects, talked with AOL Lifestyle about the new cast.
“This season is going to be a really exciting season, and I’m so supportive of everyone on the show,” Allison shared. “I actually watched the reveal on ‘GMA’ today, and some of the celebrities on the show, I’m very, very excited about watching.”
She adds, “I have my own favorites. I’m not going to reveal who I’m excited to watch yet — I’m going to do that a little bit later as I’m watching the show. But I think I already have an idea of who my favorites are, already. So I’m very, very excited.”
And don’t get too bummed that Allison isn’t on this season, she’s coming back.
“This isn’t the end for [me on] Dancing with the Stars,” she promised.

“Dancing With the Stars is a show I always watched with my grandma, and it was one of my favorite shows, but more importantly one of her favorite shows,” she shared. “It was always captivating to see two people grow and have this journey with each other and maybe not win but come out stronger in the end.
“This happened really quickly, there was a meeting and then a month later we had confirmation.”
So, how will Normani juggle both the show and Fifth Harmony stuff? Check out her answer below!
Lauren Jauregui is more than excited for Normani Kordei to be on Dancing With The Stars.
The Fifth Harmony singer was the first from the group to reach out to Normani on Twitter, wishing her luck on the show.

Dancing With The Stars premieres on Monday, March 20th.
You might know Heather Morris as Brittany from Glee…but did you also know she was a backup dancer for Beyonce?
Some fans of Dancing With The Stars are calling an unfair advantage because she does have that professional dance background. But, her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy has a good argument for that.
“To say that we just have this massive advantage, I think so,” Maks shared on the press line.
“But I don’t think we’re the only ones that could pull off beautiful, beautiful numbers.”
He adds, “I’m ready for us to be scrutinized a little different and judged a little different and rightfully so, we’ll do our best.”
TELL JJJ: Do you think Heather and Maks still have an unfair advantage?
We were so excited to see some of our favorite people in the new cast for Dancing With The Stars!

Simone Biles just made a shocking confession — Sasha Farber is the first guy she’s ever danced with!
The Olympic gymnast revealed this little tidbit just after being revealed as one of the new cast members on Dancing With The Stars.
“I think just generally dancing in heels and dancing with a partner because I’ve never experienced that before,’ Simone shared about what she was most nervous about. “[Sasha Farber] is the first guy I’ve danced with.”
But she shouldn’t be worried at all. We mean, he just placed 5th with Terra Jole in season 23.
And, remember how he stepped in for Derek Hough to dance with Nastia Liukin in season 20? He was amazing!
“It’s going good,” she added of their partnership so far. “I think our personalities go well with each other and he’s very patient so I like that.”
Check out more pics of Simone and Sasha on Good Morning America this morning, where reigning champ Laurie Hernandez surprised her!
It’s safe to say that Normani Kordei was extremely happy to be partnered up with two-time Dancing With The Stars champ Val Chmerkovskiy.
“I, like, screamed,” she shared in a new press clip.
Val added about her reaction, “It means a lot to me to know that she is a fan of the show and has a lot of respect for me. So I want to reciprocate that, and I’m going to go above and beyond for her this season. I hope she does well. I hope we win.”
Does Team ValMani have your vote?!
